When guests call us, their most common question is:
“What activities can we do at the farm?”
And rightly so—because at Vaksana Farms, you don’t just stay, you live the farm life.
Whether you’re traveling with curious kids, active grandparents, or just yourself—we offer a rich bouquet of meaningful, hands-on activities that entertain, educate, and nourish the soul.
For Kids: Let Them Run Wild (and Learn a Little Too)
At Vaksana Farms, your child won’t be stuck to a screen. (Infact, we have no TV)
They’ll be chasing butterflies, feeding goats, and making lifelong memories.
Here are some of our most loved kid-friendly experiences:
Animal Time!
Chickens. Ducks. Turkeys. Rabbits. Goats. Sheep. Cows. Horse. Geese.
Kids get up close with our friendly animals—feeding them, petting them, and learning how farms and creatures coexist.
Mini Farming
There’s no cleaner fun than good ol’ mud!
Children can dig, water, plant, and nurture baby vegetables in their own little patch of soil. It’s hands-on learning, minus the classroom.
The Farm Animals Parade
Twice a day, our cattle head out for grazing—and kids love joining in!
Walking with the herd through the fields is both joyful and calming.
Nature Walk
With a checklist of feathers, seeds, shapes, textures, and bugs, kids explore the farm in a fun, educative walk through the farm. Curiosity gets its playground.
Art with Nature
From vegetable stamp painting to pebble art and leaf collage, our nature-inspired art sessions bring out the little artist in every child. These are add-ons and we are happy to help provide materials at a cost.
Story Time under the Neem Tree
Each evening, , we gather for a fun walk through the farm where we share farm stories—told by our in-house team. You’ll hear fascinating stories about the farm that will keep your kids engaged.
Stargazing Nights
When the skies are clear, kids (and their grown-ups!) lie back on mats and look up as we point out constellations, stars, and even shooting stars.
Farm Olympics (On Request)
Old-school fun comes alive with sack races, lemon-and-spoon races, and slow cycling contests. Great for families, even better for laughter.
DIY Scarecrow Making
A team activity where kids (and parents!) gather old clothes, hay, and sticks to build their very own scarecrow for the farm.

FOR ADULTS: Reconnect with the Earth (and Yourself)
While the kids are off having their adventures, we’ve made sure grown-ups have their own set of fulfilling, mindful, and refreshing experiences.
Guided Farm Tour
Learn the secrets of organic permaculture as we take you across our 13-acre haven—from vegetable beds to herbal patches, and fruit orchards to compost pits.
Plant a Legacy
Every guest is encouraged to plant a tree sapling, tagged with your name. It’s a symbolic gesture—and a green memory you can revisit year after year.
Feed the Farm Animals
It’s oddly therapeutic! Bottle-feed baby goats, scatter grains for the hens, and say hello to our friendly cows and geese.
Harvest Your Meal
Step into the shoes of a farmer and handpick your veggies for lunch. Then watch our legendary Kasthuri Ammal transform them into a traditional Tamil feast.
Traditional Cooking with Kasthuri Ammal
Cook alongside one of Tamil Nadu’s most celebrated home chefs. Her recipes have been featured in top magazines and TV shows, and her food is soul food at its finest.

Our farm has dozens of Instagrammable reading nooks, hammocks, and shady spots where you can enjoy a book, a nap, or a long overdue conversation.
Bonfire Evenings
End the day under the stars with a crackling bonfire, soulful music, stories from fellow guests, and the quiet magic of the countryside. We provide firewood at additional cost.
