This is what learning looks like at Vaksana Farms, joyful, hands-on, and full of wonder.

We were incredibly proud to host 70 enthusiastic students from the Forest School in Pondicherry for a day of immersive learning and unforgettable experiences on the farm.

The day began with a warm and heartfelt introduction by Mom, who shared the story of the farm and its way of life. From the very start, the children were curious, engaged, and eager to explore.

One of the first highlights was meeting the farm animals. The children happily fed the horses, geese, turkeys, goats, and more. But it was the camels who truly stole the show! For many of the students, this was their first-ever encounter with camels, and their excitement and amazement were a joy to witness.

After all the excitement, the kids cooled off with freshly squeezed farm lime juice and refreshing buttermilk, the perfect farm-style treat. Re-energized, they set off on a guided farm tour that transformed curiosity into discovery.

The students explored our food forest, learned to identify different fruit trees, and discovered how biofuel is made from cow dung—a lesson in sustainability that sparked many questions and smiles. Along the way, Mom shared fascinating stories and facts, turning every corner of the farm into a living classroom.

The day concluded with a hearty farm-fresh meal at the Event Hall, followed by warm goodbyes and happy, tired faces.
